Kids can return to the Education Building on August 9.
June 1 through August 8, the Education Building will be closed for plumbing repairs. Over the past several years, the original cast-iron piping has deteriorated, causing consistent sewage backups. To remedy this issue, all cast-iron sewage pipes will be replaced. This project will also involve extensive sheetrock and concrete work to complete the repairs.
Please keep this project in your prayers as we work toward smooth and timely repairs.

August 6, 2026
We are nearing the end of our construction and plumbing repair project! New Epoxy flooring by Line-X will be complete this afternoon; tomorrow, we are replacing some of the older FRP bathroom paneling, and the final toilets will be reinstalled. The Christians in Action team will be working hard over the weekend and into Monday to reinstall the bathroom partitions to complete our plumbing project! A special thank you to our CIA team for all of their help—from demo, electrical, painting, and the numerous other projects we completed over the summer.
What this means: Our Kids Ministry will be back in the Education Building this Sunday! Thank you for your patience while these necessary projects were underway. We are excited to see our Kids learning and growing in the E Building on Sundays again!
On another note, we are having new electric basketball hoops installed in the MPR beginning Monday, August 10th, and will be completed on Friday, August 14th.

July 29, 2026
We will keep E Building closed until August 8th. For the overall plumbing project, the drywall repairs, flooring, and miscellaneous repairs are taking a little longer than expected. The plumbing is finished and passed all inspections—but the finishing touches are pushing us back another week. We also updated rooms 151-153 and the E Building front office with new LED lighting, fresh paint, and all new electrical, so we are working hard to complete these projects as well. Thanks for your prayers and patience; we are so excited for these updates!
July 21, 2026
Concrete has been poured, and we have completed all inspections. It took longer than anticipated for the concrete to cure, so we are waiting on that before we can begin installation of the flooring. Once ready, we have the adult and children's restroom flooring being installed this week, as well as drywall patching/painting. Additionally, our school janitorial company is shampooing and cleaning classrooms this week. We are in the home stretch of our construction project, so please keep praying that our Education Building will re-open at the end of the month!
July 16, 2026
The work in the E building is progressing nicely, and we are seeing some of the holes beginning to be filled in! We have final plumbing inspections today. Concrete was poured yesterday and today, so the hope is that all plumbing is complete and inspected this week, and that the concrete is finished this week. We have the adult and children's restroom flooring starting next week, as well as drywall patching/painting. Additionally, our school janitorial company will begin shampooing and cleaning classrooms next week. Please continue to pray that all goes smoothly!
July 9, 2026
The new plumbing in the E Building is coming along! We passed inspections on the overhead plumbing, and part of the exterior plumbing was inspected. We have another inspection for the interior plumbing scheduled for this week. Lord willing, we will have all plumbing 100% complete and the concrete filled by the end of next week, so that we can install the new flooring for the downstairs bathrooms the following week. We are a little behind, now projected to be fully complete by August 2nd. Thanks for your patience and prayers that all continues to go smoothly with all the plumbing and repairs.
July 2, 2026
The team was back at work this week. New piping is being installed inside the E Building, and the old pipes have been removed on the west side exterior. They are prepping the new pipes today, with a goal of connecting to the main sewage line soon. Generally, most of the work has shifted to the exterior (but as you can see from the photos, this doesn't mean the work is finished inside).
June 25, 2026
The team took a break this week from construction work so everyone could focus on Vacation Bible School. There was more work completed since our update last Thursday, so we have a few new photos and a quick video so you can see what's going on.
The next step is still to continue demolition of the single bathrooms in the Kids Ministry wing and install new piping. The plumbers will be back to work on June 29th. At that point, they will be finishing up the interior bathrooms and working toward the exterior main sewage line.
June 18, 2026
The plumbing project is moving along without any major issues. There is still demolition underway inside the building, but the interior demolition is nearly complete! There is a large plumbing team working on different sections, so they are making progress throughout the Education Building.
The next step is to continue demolition of the single bathrooms in the Kids Ministry wing and install new piping. The plumbers will take next week off during VBS, but will be back to work June 29th. At that point, they will be finishing up the interior bathrooms and working toward the exterior main sewage line.
June 11, 2026
We are in the beginning phase of the project, which primarily involves preparation and demolition.
For preparation: removing plumbing and bathroom fixtures, laying floor protection, and mapping out the plumbing lines.
For demolition: the existing bathroom tile had to be removed, and they are cutting into the concrete floor and sheetrock to be able to expose the plumbing lines.
We expect this demolition phase will continue into next week.
