Liz Eudaly, MOPS and Teen MOPS Oversight Coordinator
My daughter, Sarah, introduced me to Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) in 2008. I had taken care of my parents for many years, but after they passed, I felt like I had no real purpose. I joined MOPS as a mentor mom, and it was there I found a purpose as well as many joys and challenges. I had two of my four children while I was still a teenager, so I can relate to many of their challenges.
The team is passionate and dedicated to teenage mothers. MOPS caters to new mothers (pregnancy through sixth grade), and it’s about celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, making connections and experiencing God’s love through relationships and resources. Teaching topics include womanhood, marriage, child rearing and the home. I love these young moms and have learned so much. When Teen MOPS was created in 2011 I wanted to be a part of it as well, and today I am a member of both teams and oversee these ministries for Women’s Network.
I became a Christian while pregnant with my second child, and I know without a doubt that there is hope, love, acceptance and wisdom in the arms of our Savior! Experiencing transformation in my own life through Christ’s redeeming work on the cross, I am passionate about sharing the good news with others. I am thankful to be a part of an incredible team of volunteers that serve at Golden Hills MOPS!
Crystal Jones, former team member, MOPS
Hello, I am Crystal, a former Mops group leader. During my first year
serving in Mops, God laid the need for a team of prayer warriors on my heart. I
felt overwhelmed to handle it alone, so I thought, “What if there was a group
of people designated to pray for the ladies who were too embarrassed or shy to
share in a group, but did have requests?” We could serve these ladies by
praying behind the scenes to try to help eliminate their depression, isolation,
and helplessness by giving them a way to seek out help and prayer.
That first year it was so special to meet early on Saturday mornings in His presence to pray and lift these ladies up. In that year we saw God's hand moving and it was the continued outreach that showed these ladies we truly cared, thought and prayed for them. Their prayer requests often enabled us to serve families in need with meals, further counseling or other resources through GHCC. Not only that, but God also connected the leadership in Mops through this prayer team. The experiences here simply proved to us all that without prayer a ministry of God cannot survive.

Our mission is to support all mothers of preschoolers by nurturing friendships and encouraging personal growth for moms and their kids in a fun, comfortable environment by sharing the love of Jesus Christ through living by example.
MOPS is a program for Mothers of Preschoolers (pregnancy through age 5). It is about celebrating motherhood. meeting needs, making connections, and experiencing God's love through relationships and resources. Teaching topics include womanhood, marriage, child rearing and the home. These provide the spark for lively discussion groups, which are followed by a time in which creative skills are developed.
The MOPS program year is September 5, 2013 until May 15,2014..
MOMSNext also meets with the MOPS group at their own table. MOMSNext is for the encouragement of moms whose children are no longer pre-schoolers (children in elementary school and/or through 5th grade).
