Christmas Extravaganza

Christmas Extravaganza
Extravaganza FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Another Christmas Extravaganza has come and gone. Decorations have been put away, dishes washed and tucked back into the cupboard waiting for their next debut, tablecloths laundered and dreams of what next year’s table will look like fill the air. What an event we shared this year. We laughed and then we laughed some more. It was just what most of us needed this year.
On behalf of the Extravaganza team, I would like to thank all of you who helped make this event possible. Without all the many hands that prayed, washed dishes, served, mentored, modeled and rejoiced with us this event would not have taken place. What a joy it is to see so many come to glorify our Lord.
We have been overwhelmed by the number of response cards turned in this year and by so many wonderful comments. Several women accepted the Lord and what excitement we have for what’s to come for these ladies who now know Christ as Lord.
This year was very difficult financially, spiritually and emotionally for many of us. Kerri delivered just what the Lord knew we needed. Laughter. It filled my heart to hear all our women enjoying her entertainment; releasing some of the stress this year has brought. The Lord was faithful and delivered us into joy even if it is only for an evening. He brought us relief. What an awesome God we serve. I have learned through the struggles of this year that He will never leave us or forsake us. Even when we are in our darkest moments, He is there giving us strength, love, compassion, grace, joy, tenderness, and most of all a promise. He gives us the promise that He is in control and “We can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Phil 4:13)
Let this be the year we truly depend on the Lord. Let this be the moment that we understand that we are uniquely made; that God has a purpose in our life and that everything He allows is growing us into the woman he wants us to be. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins so that we may live forever.
No matter what life is throwing at you, no matter how you see your circumstances God is with you. He loves us and cherishes us. He was born to die and we are His children whom He loves.
Let us find joy and peace in this season of celebration of our Lords birth.
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say Rejoice!
And all God children said………..AMEN
Love in Christ

Celebrating the Ladies’ Christmas Extravaganza 2011
“This is the day which Jehovah (the Lord God) hath made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24
I was reading through many of the passages in the Bible that contain the word ‘rejoice.’ It was the theme of our event this year and so appropriate. In her reflections on the Extravaganza, Tracie spoke about the trials many of us have faced this year. In spite of these trials, God continues to give us situations in which we can rejoice. The Extravaganza was one of them.
I rejoice with you for God’s healing of our leader Tracie as she walked a journey with cancer this year. Also, for Robbie who confidently stood in the shadows learning, serving tirelessly and ready to step up at any moment.
I rejoice in God’s handiwork through a team of many women using their gifts to serve our Lord. These gifts demonstrate His grace because HE shines through them.
I rejoice over the team that served TOGETHER. When there is unity, the product/event looks like a whole picture. It is a full picture of God’s love!
I rejoice in the answered prayer for health, strength, and safety and, most of all, for every woman that God brought to be a part of our event.
I rejoice with you for the ladies who have begun a relationship with the King of Kings! May we be faithful in encouraging them as they learn to walk in obedience to God.
I rejoice in your servanthood and humility as you approached different situations in circumstances and relationships as you walked through the event.
I rejoice with you in God’s blessing of our choice of artist(s) and fruit for His glory.
Our tradition of praying late on Saturday night at the foot of the cross-- in the tent of God’s galaxy of stars-- brought to mind two words, “Rejoice, rejoice.”
All for His glory,
