Marriage Retreat

Mark your calendar for our GHCC 2011 Marriage Retreat on November 4-6, 2011 at Zephyr Point, South Lake Tahoe. Cost: $340/couple which includes 2 nights lodging, program and 5 meals.

Theme of the weekend: "Refresh & Reconnect", as we are pulled from every side and as we walk and sometimes run through this journey called life. This weekend is designed for you and your spouse to get away from all the distractions of life and refocus on each other and the Lord. It is our desire that while you are here this weekend, that you would get "reconnected" with the Lord and leave this mountain with a "refreshed" heart for the Lord and your spouse.

Take Advantage: The opportunities in this beautiful mountain setting of South Lake Tahoe are endless. If you are the outdoor enthusiast, there are mountain trails to be explored by hike or bike. Strolling the beach lends itself to some spectacular photo opportunities. If you are the indoor type, there are many theaters, museums, galleries or just taking a nap at the Tallac Lodge by the fireplace is always inviting.

Guest Speaker: Chris Legg & his wife, Ginger have been living the adventure for 18 years and have 3 great kids and are foster parents. Chris is a licensed counselor (LPC in his own private practice), teacher and minister in Tyler Texas. Both have served together in a number of church and ministry roles and are looking forward to setting aside all of the distractions of life and connecting with our Golden Hills married couples.

Worship Leader: Chris Dunbar and his wife, Suzette have been married for 19 years and have 4 beautiful daughters. Chris' ministry focus in leading worship is to create an atmosphere that allows worshippers to engage with God in a deeper and more personal level through relevant and purposeful songs that reinforce God's promises to us. Both Chris & Suzette recognize the importance of continued reconnection, developing better trust, communication and intimacy and are excited about being a part of this year's retreat.
