Bert Norcross, Ph.D., Director

Bert Norcross has been active in bringing both professional and lay counseling into the church setting since 1979. He holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Rosemead. In addition to his clinical work, Bert has taught in the Azusa Pacific Masters program for a number of years, specializing in the integration of Psychology and Theology. His interests include working with adolescents, adults, and families involved in ministry. Bert has been the Director of Golden Hills Counseling since 1994. Denise Olson MA, LMFT, Assistant Director

Denise is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and is our center’s Assistant Director.  She earned her BA in Intercultural Studies from Biola University and her MA in Counseling at Cal State East Bay.  Denise’s interests include working with adults, couples and young children.  She specializes in treating trauma survivors including treatment with EMDR. Sharon Andrews, LMFT

Sharon Andrews is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  Sharon obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simpson University and her Master of Science in Counseling from California State University, Hayward.  Sharon has a passion for helping women heal from childhood abuse.  Her emphasis is in trauma therapy and she is a trained EMDR clinician.  Sharon also loves walking alongside teenagers as they try to navigate their teen years. Helen Bonds, MFTI

Helen is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. She earned an A.A. in Criminal Justice and a B.A. in Human Development from Cal State East Bay.  She graduated from John F. Kennedy University with a Masters in Counseling.  She enjoys the challenge of working with couples as well as the ‘fun’ of working with children.  Having been involved with various Women’s ministries over the years, she enjoys the process of walking alongside women and helping them find true healing and freedom in their daily lives. Cesar Court, LMFT

Cesar Court is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over thirty years working in the field of mental health.  He received his Bachelor of Arts from San Francisco State University and his Master of Arts in Clinical psychology from John F. Kennedy in Orinda.  Cesar has dedicated his career providing counseling support to individual adults and couples, he has a particular interest in working with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety or who are in recovery from early childhood trauma.  He also is fluent in Spanish. Angelena Gagliardi, MFTI

Angelena Gagliardi is a Marriage and Family Therapist/Art Therapist intern.  She is completing her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University.  Angelena earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Arts from Notre Dame de Namur University.  Through the profession of art therapy, Angelena was able to combine her two passions in life, helping others and art.  Using art in therapy allows individuals to participate when words are not enough or easily accessed.  She enjoys working with children, teens, and adults. Amanda Goletto, MA, LMFT

Amanda Goletto holds a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco.  She specializes in working with adolescents and women in crisis.  She also works with adults, individuals, couples and families in developing their emotional, social, spiritual and physical well being.  Amanda brings multi-culturally experience from her advocacy background, social concerns, travels, and outreach.  Amanda has experience running support groups, giving community lectures on mental health issues, addressing coping skills, decision-making skills, assertiveness training and safety.  Her desire is to empower people to heal so they can use their talents and abilities to make a difference in life. Theresa J. Hart, Ed.D, LMFT

Theresa is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  She received her BA in Early Childhood Development from Bethany University.  She earned a MA in Counseling Psychology and a Graduate Certificate in Pastoral Counseling from Holy Names University.  She also has earned an Ed.D in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University.  She is a trained EMDR clinician and has earned certifications in Sexual Addictions and Life Coaching. Theresa specializes in treating PTSD, trauma, abuse, co-dependency, addiction, women’s issues, life coaching and helping parents who have children with special needs and/or disabilities.  She enjoys working with women of all ages, couples, adolescents and families. Frank Klosky, LMFT

Frank Klosky is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Frank received his Bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University and his Master’s from Cal State University Hayward.  Frank is also a licensed Pastor with the Christian and Missionary Alliance.  In 15 years of counseling, Frank has seen individuals, couples, teens, and children as young as age 7.  He is equipped to handle a variety of family situations as well as cover the issues from a distinctly Christian perspective. Barb Peppin, LMFT

Barb is a Marriage and Family Therapist.  She earned a B.A. in Biological Sciences from UC Davis.  She graduated from Holy Names College with a Masters in Counseling Psychology and a degree in Pastoral Counseling. Barb is a trained EMDR clinician for the treatment of trauma and PTSD.  She enjoys working with adults with codependent issues.  Barb has passion for helping children, especially young children who have suffered loss or trauma and has received extensive training in play therapy techniques. Christine Rollins, LMFT

Christine is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Oral Roberts University and her Master of Arts in Marital & Family therapy from Azusa Pacific University.  Since 1988 she has provided individual, couple and family therapy; facilitated groups for anxiety, grief (death & dying) and sexual abuse; and has taught classes on anxiety disorders, parenting and substance abuse.  Christine has experience assisting families with the unique challenges of divorce, foster care and home education.  She especially likes supporting teens, adults and couples. Janie Sheedy, MFTI

Having recently completed a Masters degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Western Seminary in San Jose, Janie is one of our interns.  She also completed additional course work in the field of addictions and is currently working toward Addiction Studies certification.  Janie works with individuals, adolescents, and pre-adolescents with a special emphasis on recovery issues. Susie St. John, MFTI

Susie received her Masters degree from California State University East Bay along with her Pupil Personnel Services Credential.  Her extensive experience as a teacher and a school principal make her uniquely qualified to work with children, adolescents and their families.  She also has a heart to work with those that struggle with depression and mood disorders.
