Our purpose is to glorify God by making disciples who will impact every area of the world for Christ.

Worship Grow Serve

Mission Opportunity in Your Own Backyard

Many feel they aren't doing mission work unless they travel many miles from home to another country. When we send youth groups to Mexico, they get a crash course on ministry outside of their comfort zone - they face another culture and see things they may never see in their own neighborhood where they live. However, one does not have to travel out of the country to do mission work in another culture. Though most of the people we serve at the COC have grown up in this country and communicate in the English language, they are a mission field in their own right. We work with a poor and homeless culture that has been inundated with drugs and diminished literacy.

There are generational cycles that run very deep and require a strategic move of God to break. We want to be a part of that strategic move of God and we welcome others to join our team.

The following is a list of opportunities for individuals, families, Bible study groups, and churches. Please prayerfully consider participating.

Participate in One of Three Ways...

Prayer...This is the greatest need we have. Please give us your email address and home address information. We will place you on our list as a prayer partner and keep you informed of prayer opportunities and the needs at the COC.

Contribute...The COC needs clothes, canned food, sealed dry goods, blankets, sleeping bags, school supplies for the children's ministry, or financial donations.

Participate with Your Time...Serve on a regular basis individually or with your group, church, or family. A list of the many opportunities for service follows. Check one or two and call a COC staff person at 925.778.1893 or email Pastor Gary West @ gwestfam@aol.com.
