Caring Hands

What is “Caring Hands?”

Caring Hands is a ministry of Golden Hills Community Church whose purpose is to provide childcare for children ages birth through 11 years-old while their parents attend Bible studies, meetings or events that take place outside of our regular worship services.

What Can I Expect From Caring Hands?

Caring Hands follows all of the safety policies, procedures and guidelines of our Children’s Ministry. This creates a warm, nurturing and caring environment allowing you, the parent, a more focused, uninterrupted experience.

Dedicated, trained Christian workers staff our Caring Hands ministry. Their primary concern is for the welfare of your child. This concern involves not only the physical and emotional wellbeing of your children, but spiritual as well. We realize that the positive experiences of your child while at church lays the foundation for an understanding of who God is as well as receiving His love expressed through His people, the church.

What does Caring Hands Expect From Me, The Parent?

Caring Hands has the following expectations of our parents:

* For the health of other children and our workers no ill children are allowed.

* Please register in advance for the services of Caring Hands (it is important in

the planning for the appropriate number of staff).

* If you have registered for the services of Caring Hands, and are not able to

attend, please call and let us know.

* Please arrive early. A peaceful transition is a better experience for all.

* Please provide adequate supplies for us to properly care for your child.

* Label all belongings. This includes diaper bags, bottles, extra clothing, etc.

* Please retain and show pick-up tag when retrieving your child. This will avoid

inconvenience for you and help us maintain a safe and smooth pick-up.

* If your child is crying please give us a chance. This is often normal and

subsides in a few minutes. If it does not, we will come to get you.

Is There A Cost?

Yes. Since we have a paid staff, there is a nominal charge of $5.00 per child, per event to help offset this expense. Of course, if this poses a difficulty to your family, please let us know. You may purchase a childcare voucher from Caring Hands staff when you sign-in your child at the kiosk. Simply present this voucher to the staff member receiving your child at the door of your child’s room. No child will be admitted into Caring Hands without a voucher.

How Do I Make Arrangements For Caring Hands Services?

First, you will need to determine if the event you are attending has arranged for the services of Caring Hands. Usually you will see that indicated somewhere on the promotional materials of your event. If you are unsure, simply call the church to find out if Caring Hands is available to you.

Once you have determined Caring Hands is available, please pre-arrange child-care by contacting, by phone or email, Cher Richardson. This is an important step as it allows us to plan and staff our rooms appropriately. When you do, please be prepared to leave the following information:

     * Your name

     * Your contact information (phone number/email)

     * Names and ages of children needing our services

     * What class or event you are attending

Thank you for entrusting your children to us. We consider it a privilege to support your family in this way. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
