Purpose

The purpose of the Children's Ministry of Golden Hills Community Church is "to glorify God by helping families develop age-appropriate disciples who impact their world for Christ."

Philosophy

The Children's Ministry of Golden Hills Community Church is an integral part of the total church program. It is a co-operative effort between the church and home, utilizing the efforts of both parents and the church to reach children within our community for Jesus Christ.

The aim of our ministry is Christ-centered. Our desire is to develop boys and girls as age appropriate Disciples of Christ.

Our process of discipleship is to see children worship, grow and serve in the context of Christian community.

The heart of our ministry is centered on the child. We focus on the child's spiritual needs. We have identified twelve spiritual needs that every believer needs to become a healthy disciple:

Our programming strives to deliver a balanced approach in addressing these needs. In doing so, we focus on the child, not the program.

Our methodology addresses all learning styles of children. Our curriculum is designed so that all children, regardless of how they learn best, will benefit.

Our material is Bible centered. We believe that the Word of God has the answers to the needs in our life and is practical to both adults and children. Our curriculum is designed to help the child discover what God's Word says and how to apply that truth to his or her life.

Our staff is comprised of men and women who have trusted Jesus Christ as their Savior. We are passionate about sharing our faith with the children of GHCC. We are committed to training and developing these men and women into successful leaders. They strive to provide a positive and nurturing environment where children can flourish.

Primary Objectives

1. To see children develop into age-appropriate disciples of Jesus Christ

2. To reach children in our community with the Gospel of Christ.

3. To provide areas of service and spiritual growth for youth and adults.

4. To make GHCC a welcoming, safe place for children, families and staff.

5. To support and equip families in the spiritual development of their children.

Partnering

Our desire is to help you teach your child about God. Our classes and activities all focus on who God is and challenge children to respond to Him at their own level.

Protecting

Our highest priority is the safety of your child. Therefore, we screen our volunteer and staff team members before allowing them to serve in Children's Ministry. We also endeavor to maintain safe and healthy adult/child ratios in each classroom to ensure your child is well cared for.
