Christ Centered Parenting Class

Do you ever feel ill equipped to talk about the cultural issues of our day? Designed to help you lead your children and teens in a confident and responsible way, this class will equip you to address pressing cultural topics which children of all ages, from preschoolers through young adults, face, including:
Gender issues
Suicide, depression, and anxiety
Addiction and coping mechanisms
Same-sex marriage
Singleness, dating, marriage, and divorce

Give your kids a biblical worldview that will produce the next generation of culture shapers—not simply the next generation shaped by their culture.

This class meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:45pm - 8:15 pm in E 224 beginning September 20th and ending November 15th. It is a video and book class led by Pastor Mark Wood. There is no cost for the class but the book is $20 if you don't already have it. Sign up HERE.

Operation Christmas Child

When you pack a shoebox, God can use you to change a child’s eternity. Whether your box goes to a child in Africa or South America, it gives local churches a tangible way to share the Gospel in their communities.  It is more than a shoebox! If you would like to see how you can pack a shoebox instructions are HERE.

Golden Hills will once again be a collection point for this important ministry. Drop off your shoeboxes to the Children's Ministry lobby from November 12th - 19th.

Operation Christmas Child Volunteers

We will be a central drop off center for all of Contra Costa County this year and need a team of volunteers. . We need a couple people a day who would like to greet and welcome people. We also need a couple people a day who will help load and unload boxes. This is a great opportunity for families to serve together, especially on the weekend. Younger than 16 years of age must serve with a parent.

On the final day we need some strong guys and gals who can help load the cases of shoeboxes into the trucks. The other churches in Contra Costa County will be bringing their cases to us. We will need to count and load them into trucks to be taken to Southern California.

Our Shoebox collection center will be open to the community on the following dates and times. We will be doing 2 hour shifts this year. Most people will be scheduled from 10am- noon (1pm-3pm on Wednesday) since the afternoons are pretty quiet.  I will be creating a schedule and emailing it out the week prior to collection.
